A traditional service of Evensong.
We have been offering Evensong for about two centuries here in Rome. Our traditional service of sung evening prayer is rooted in the beautiful language of the Book of Common Prayer, following a tradition that dates back thousands of years. Evensong happens usually once a month on special festivals, at 7 PM - as advertised on the Sunday bulletin, on our website, and on social media. It is usually sung by our choir or any visiting choirs coming to Rome. It consists of hymns, chanted psalms and canticles set to the beautiful settings of the Anglican choral tradition. If you're in for some contemplative worship shaped in the tradition of the beauty of holiness, this is the service for you.
