Study
At
All Saints we have various opportunities to study the Bible and
issues related to the Christian faith.
In
Advent and Lent we offer more structured courses, usually on a
Tuesday evening after work. We share a simple supper at 7 pm and
then have a study session which ends at 9. In the past we have
studied a particular book of the Bible - either the lectionary
Gospel book of the year, or one of the 'great books' like Romans,
or we have studied a theme, such as the Holy Spirit, or again
we have looked at liturgy, or examined a controversial issue,
such a bio-ethics. We approach these study sessions in various
ways: using published materials, creating our own materials, inviting
outside speakers from various Christian traditions, or taking
turns within the gathered group to prepare the evening's work.
Visitors from other churches often attend our study courses. Because
we offer supper, it is helpful if you let the office know that
you are planning to come.
Members
of All Saints have also taken courses at the Anglican Centre and
the Vincent Pallotti Lay Centre, and the Footsteps groups in the
north and south of Rome often run Alpha courses.
We
offer classes for adults who wish to be confirmed or received
into the Church of England.
